Have you ever gone to an event where there was a self-running digital photo album running in the background? This video shows you how to build one using PowerPoint any version from 2003 to the newest version. We are using 2010 but it works in any version of PowerPoint. In this sample we will put together a slide show of several photographs put to music and have it looped so it will run continuously at a kiosk or at our event.

You can still use your Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs and also save them to the Google Apps cloud with a simple connect add-on button. This video shows how to download the add-in and how to use it. Very easy!

Too lazy to type? Not good at typing? Typing not so accurate? Why not just talk into a mic and let the computer convert it to text? This video shows how to use the feature that comes all newer computers such as Vista, Windows7, even a MAC. You probably already have it on your computer.
Look in the control panel for:
Ease of Access

Read Facebook posts without opening Facebook. Outlook 2010 has a built-in social media connector that allows you to read social media posts without actually opening up the social media software. Social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Windows Live Messanger, SharePoint are all part of the social media connectors. Twitter is also available.

Gadgets provides real-time information that is available at a glance on the desktop of your machine. A good gadget provides functionality that is useful all the time such as a clock, a calendar gadget, or an outside temperature gadget. They are found in both Windows Vista and Windows7 but this video just deals with Windows7. A few gadgets come with the operating system but there are thousands that can be found for free to download. You can download gadgets for Windows from a variety of websites, such as Windows Personalization Gallery and Windows Live Gallery.

Quick Steps are new to Outlook 2010. They are designed to make it easy to perform multiple actions at once such as creating a task out of an email message like our video demonstrates. In our sample scenario, we take an incoming email from our tenant and turn that message into a task then remove the message from the inbox and file it in the "rental" folder all in one click.

The snipping tool is the coolest tool in Windows7 which replaces the need for the print screen feature.  It can capture the image of the screen in one step.

How do you set a wallpaper background in Windows7? How do you set a screen-saver? This video shows how. Actually, the new LCD monitors don't need Screen-savers because the image doesn't burn into the screen but the video shows you how to set one anyway.

This video shows how to insert and delete rows, columns, and cells without throwing off your formulas or data. In the video we are using Excel 2010 but 2007 looks identical. Inserting rows columns and cells uses the same concept in 2003 version and older. When adding or deleting, Excel always works with the data above or to the left of the cell you started from.
